Linking singles was the hook, but doing good was the goal. DoGoodates was founded as a non-profit social benefit company in 2000 in San Francisco. Setting up volunteer events for singles, then getting restaurants to buy one on the house, we inspired people to give over 20,000 volunteer hours to worthy causes. We might have inspired a few hookups too.
